Rutgers Tuition Payment Plans
The Rutgers University Tuition Payment Plan (RUTPP) allows you to pay your term bill in monthly payments.
We have partnered with Nelnet Campus Commerce to allow you to pay your tuition and fees over time in an interest-free plan that automatically deducts the amount from your bank account via e-check payment, credit card, or debit card.
All card payments incur a 2.45 percent service fee. There is a $50 fee to enroll in RUTPP semester plans, assessed per semester, and a $60 fee to enroll in annual plans. This fee is nonrefundable and due at the time of enrollment.

When enrolling in a tuition payment plan please use a laptop/desktop computer or mobile device with the browser in desktop mode.

You will need to log in through the online term bill (OTB) at paymybill.rutgers.edu to sign up for a payment plan.

All down payments are processed immediately.

Plan payments are automatically processed on the 15th of each month.

All account balances not paid in full by the due date are the sole responsibility of the student and extend to all costs incurred by the university to collect such debt. This could include collections costs, litigation/attorney's fees, and court costs.
Annual, Fall, Winter & Spring Enrollment Dates
Enrolling early affords you more payments to pay your plan balance. As you approach the start of the term, some payment options might not be available.
Please note that some payment plans are not yet open for enrollment. Plan dates are made available ahead of time to support adequate financial planning.

Simply deduct the amount of aid or assistance that you expect to receive from the term bill amount and enroll in a plan that accommodates the remaining balance. You can adjust the term bill amount at any time during the plan.
*Please note that you will be responsible for the difference if the aid or assistance is less than anticipated.

Yes, however credit card payments incur a 2.45 percent processing fee. This fee is nonrefundable and will appear as a separate transaction on your credit card statement.
