Municipal Financial Advisor Disclosure

Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey (the “University”) has retained an independent registered municipal advisor.   The University is represented by and will rely on its municipal advisor, Hilltop Securities Inc. ("Hilltop") with respect to all aspects of the issuance of municipal bonds including municipal financial products (as such terms are defined in the SEC’s Rule 15Ba1-1).

By publicly posting this written disclosure, the University intends that market participants may rely on this posting for purposes of establishing the independent registered municipal advisor (IRMA) exemption to the SEC Municipal Advisor Rule.

Hilltop has represented to the University that it is an independent registered municipal advisor within the meaning of the SEC Municipal Advisor Rule. Please contact the University or Hilltop for a current list of Hilltop employees working with the University.
