
University Card Program
The Rutgers University Procurement Office offers university-issued credit cards to designated individuals who are active, full-time employees. These cards are paid directly by the university to Bank of America, providing a safe and convenient method of payment.
Rutgers-issued credit cards are administered and managed by Procurement Services.
Rutgers Pcard
The Rutgers University Purchasing Card (PCard) serves as an alternative procurement method to facilitate department-related business expenses. The PCard is issued to an individual employee to support purchasing needs within their department.
Account information must not be shared, and only the designated cardholder is authorized to make purchases using the card. All transactions must comply with university policies, procedures, and guidelines.
The Rutgers PCard is a corporate-liability Visa card, meaning it is billed directly to and paid by the university. Expenses are allocated to the appropriate department through a Concur Expense Report. The cardholder’s personal credit is not linked to the PCard in any way.

Rutgers Travel Card
The Rutgers University Travel Card is an alternative procurement method designed to facilitate travel and business-related expenses. It is intended for the cardholder’s use only and should not be used to cover expenses for others.
All Travel Card transactions must comply with university policies, procedures, and guidelines.
The Rutgers Travel Card is a corporate-liability Visa card, meaning it is billed directly to and paid by the university. Expenses are allocated to the appropriate department through a Concur Expense Report. The cardholder’s personal credit is not associated with the card.
The Travel Card eliminates the need for cash advances and reduces the financial burden on the traveler.
*Use of the card for group student travel may be permitted in special cases, pending review and approval by University Card Services.
