Payroll Services Introduces the U.S. Bank Focus Card  

Rutgers Payroll Services has introduced the U.S. Bank Focus Card to all staff, faculty, and students who receive pay from the university. This new, convenient, and safe alternative to paper checks will lower the costs of printing, distributing, and replacing lost paper checks. Rather than waiting for the mail or picking up paper checks each pay period, faculty, staff, and students can enroll for electronic pay via pay card on the Pay Card website.  

Employees with a bank account still have the option to enroll in direct deposit. There are many benefits to employees switching to electronic pay including safety, convenience, and more control over their finances.  

Highlights of the new Focus Card include: 

Safety: Pay is deposited onto a prepaid Visa card each payday. Funds are protected if they are lost or stolen. Text and email alerts make it easy to keep track of purchases and deposits. 

Convenience: The Focus Card can be used anywhere Visa debit cards are accepted worldwide. Cardholders have access to their cash at thousands of ATMs nationwide. 

Reloadable: Aside from their pay, cardholders can deposit tax refunds or cash deposits on the Focus Card.
