David Moore

David is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive financial strategies that support the mission, strategic plan, and core academic and administrative objectives of Rutgers University. David provides universitywide leadership and broad strategic oversight of financial planning, budgeting, and data analytics that advance the transformation of the university’s financial functions, shaping how the university makes decisions, and impacting long-term planning for the university.

He has a critical role in the adoption of transformative strategies that improve business processes and the quality of data and analytics to support senior leadership decision-making, as well as internal and external reporting. David also has oversight of the University Budget Office and UFA data analytics, including the recruitment and supervision of a Chief Data Officer overseeing the analytical functions within University Finance and Administration and related units.
