As University Controller, Christy supports the efficient and effective monitoring, management, and control of the university’s financial resources. She is responsible for ensuring that financial operations align with the university’s mission, while maintaining high standards of compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Her key areas of responsibility include the daily management of and the development of best practices and enhancements for the Controller’s Office. Christy leads a team that is committed to improving processes, strengthening relationships with stakeholders, and outstanding service in an increasingly complex and demanding environment. She also works closely with external auditors and ensures the timely completion of the university’s Annual Financial Report and other reporting deliverables.
Christy is a Rutgers alumna who holds degrees from Douglass College and the Rutgers School of Business–Newark and New Brunswick. She began her career at Deloitte & Touche and earned her Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credentials before returning to Rutgers as an employee in 1995. She has held her current role since 2022. Christy has been actively involved in several professional organizations and associations, including the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO), the Eastern Association of College and University Business Officers (EACUBO), the New Jersey Business Officers Council, and the Big Ten Controller’s Group.
