Student ABC Releases FY21 Annual Financial Report
Student Accounting, Billing, and Cashier Services (Student ABC) has released its FY21 Annual Financial Report for the New Brunswick campus, which showcases great achievements during a challenging year. The department administers the highest level of customer service to ensure the proper billing of student accounts and supports the educational goals of all students by providing accurate information in a timely manner.
Rutgers University experienced reduced enrollment due to COVID-19 and the change in university vaccine requirements. As a result, Student ABC saw a decrease in the number of students billed and the total amount of payments received. Despite this setback, the department reached major milestones, such as launching a new payment center in the newly redesigned Dr. Samuel Proctor Hall on Busch Campus; creating a dedicated student refunds team to help identify and implement efficiencies in the student refunds process; and implementing a new payment portal for one-time student e-check, credit card, and tuition payment plan payments.
The annual report features highlights from the 2021 fiscal year, including:
- Amount Billed: $1.6 billion
- Payments Received: $641 million
- Amount Reconciled: $1.6 billion
- Delinquent Tuition Collected: $3 million
